Meet Your Instructors (she/her)

Lucy Tempest

Lucy’s journey in movement began very early in life. As a competitive artistic (formerly synchro) swimmer for 15 years, Lucy has first hand experience in how powerful quality training can be, as well as the importance of setting proper foundations. This philosophy has been at the forefront of Lucy’s coaching career, in hopes that her athletes will not suffer the same chronic injuries that she saw and dealt with as an athlete. Lucy employs mindful movement practices, as well as kinesiological principles of muscle balance to promote recovery and prevent aggravation of existing injuries.

After dealing with her own struggles related to hormone imbalance and cyclical fluctuations, Lucy has a keen interest in the role of exercise in women’s health. Her academic knowledge, combined with years of experience working with female athletes, lays a strong foundation for the use of exercise as medicine for women of all ages. Lucy is currently studying to become a naturopathic doctor where she hopes to specialize in women’s health and maternal care.

Lucy also has significant experience in strength training and believes it is a critical part of the maintenance of women’s health. Lucy’s balance of yoga and pilates-focused body weight exercise with resistance training creates a dynamic workout that leaves clients feeling challenged, engaged and strong. Lucy believes exercise should be accessible for everyone, and is excited to find the right program for you.
